The Wall Street Journal has calculated Lady Gaga’s earnings thanks to her twitter account that has over 20 million followers. Lady Gaga has been in the lead since 6 million followers. The newspaper says that Lady Gaga’s tweets encourage her fans to buy her music legally earning her $30 million. Lady Gaga has roughly earned $90 million last year.

Band Die Antwoord Reveal Turning Down Lady Gaga
In a recent MTV News interview with hiphop/pop group ‘Die Antwoord’. The band revealed that they turned down an opportunity to tour with the Grammy award wining singer saying.
“Lady Gaga asked us to tour with her and we were like, um, no thanks.” They then went on to say
“Our stuff is like f*cking hardcore like solid heavyweight! We want it to be like a secret mind-f*ck! People are like what the f*ck is this the first time they hear it. We like making pop music, but we like making hardcore music at the same time, mixing them, but they’ve got, like, soul. It’s not like weak, superficial sh*t. You know?”
“I think they though we were just like a weird, strange act, then like ‘Let’s just let them have their fun for a while, and then when it comes to their second album we’ll have them play games’”. says lead singer Ninja . “They were looking at Lady Gaga and The Black Eyed Peas and that type of shi*ty pop music, and were thinking we could like twist into that.”

Lady Gaga Amongst Billboard’s Top Money Makers
Billboard has made a list of the top earners in the music industry in 2011. Lady Gaga comes 4th with $25.3 million dollars earned in 2011. At first place comes Taylor Swift with $35.7 million earned, U2 at second with $32.1 million earned and Kenny Chesney at third with $29.8 million earned. In 2011 Lady Gaga only toured from 19th February to 6th May, on 23rd May Lady Gaga has released her album Born This Way, an album with a meaning to change people’s lives. Lady Gaga is kicking off her Born This Way Ball tour on 27th April in Seoul, South Korea, the tour will consist of 100+ dates. Towards the end of 2012 Lady Gaga may be releasing an album, she said that she already has the name for it. See the top 10 earners of 2011 according to Billboard below.

Lady Gaga to Launch an Online Store for Fans
Lady Gaga’s
business manager, Troy Carter, will be sitting and eight hour conference at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas, on March 11th. The goal is to create an online store for the fans to be able to purchase music, tour tickets, merchandise and more stuff related to Lady Gaga. Fans will be able to buy tickets near their friends and to chat and meet people sitting next to them before the event happens. The event will be hosted by Backplane (Mr Carter) that co-founded it first product, LittleMonsters.com, a social networking site for Lady Gaga fans. Roughly 1 million invites were requested but only 10,000 were sent out so far.

Harvard Community Thank the Born This Way Foundation
Check out this video of the Harvard community thanking Lady Gaga for launching the Born This Way Foundation. Lady Gaga launched the Born This Way Foundation on 29th February with the help of her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, Oprah and Deepak Chopra. Miranda Lambert covers Yoü and I
Lady Gaga has yet another artist to cover one of her songs – Miranda Lambert. After the Grammy’s two Sundays ago, Lambert went on a tweeting rampage about how wonderful Gaga was and how great of a relationship they had.
“Wonder what my new friend @ladygaga is up to today? Hehe:)” Lambert tweeted the morning after the Grammy’s.
Now, Lambert has gone about covering one of Lady Gaga’s songs, Yoü and I. When you think about it, the cover is not that out-of-the-ordinary. Yoü and I is easily the most country song a pop artist has ever done and It seems to draw a big country base of fans towards Gaga.
On February the 19th, Lambert debuted the cover. It has her own version of country ‘twang’ along with the new lyrics of “North Carolina” instead of “Nebraska”. You can view it below.
The question, however, is if Gaga would even try to do her own version of “Gunpowder and Lead” on her Born This Way ball tour set for later this year. Who knows!
